The Crayon Man - Artist Todd Alan - Crayola

Leo was born a premature baby boy.  He was full of happiness and was the center of attention.  After only a month, little Leo passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.  Soon after, Leo’s parents contacted me to create a picture in memory of Leo.  This picture illustrates the emotions the family endures while dealing with the loss of a child.  The ‘mother’ shows stress and discontent, while the ‘father’ shows strength and sorrow.  ‘Leo’, on the other hand, is calmly saying, “I’ll be O.K.  I’m on a journey.”

This picture has affected me personally.  I feel this picture can help families coping with a loss, as well as helping those realize the gifts that they already have.

Half the proceeds from this picture will benefit the Providence Foundation in Mobile, AL.  The Foundation will use the additional money to benefit the labor and delivery department of Providence Hospital.
