This is the second piece of a series I call “Magnolia Springs River Route”. Since 1912, people along the Magnolia River, Weeks Bay, Fish River, Nolte Creek, Eslava Creek, and Weeks Creek are the only people in the United States that receive their mail year round via mail boat delivery. I was lucky enough to be able to ride the route with the current Post Man. I took many pictures, and learned the history of the Magnolia Springs, AL area. This picture is of the current Post Man, doing what he loves to do. This mail route is funded only by the carriers who choose to continue the tradition. Thank you to the kind people living along the Magnolia Springs River Route, and to all the Mail Carriers who have kept the history of this route in tact.
