Unlimited Edition
Leo was born a premature baby boy. He was full of happiness and was the center of attention. After only a month, little Leo passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Soon after, Leo’s parents contacted me to create a picture in memory of Leo. This picture illustrates the emotions the family endures while dealing with the loss of a child. The ‘mother’ shows stress and discontent, while the ‘father’ shows strength and sorrow. ‘Leo’ on the other hand, is calmly saying, “I’ll be OK. I’m on a journey.”
This picture has affected me personally. I feel this piece can help families coping with a loss, as well as helping those realize the gifts that they already have.
50% of the proceeds from the sale of this picture will benefit the Providence Foundation in Mobile, AL. The Foundation will use the additional money to benefit the Providence Hospital. A giclée of the piece can be found on the 9th floor of the Providence Hospital.
